An unusually sizable and heavy example of probable circa late 19th or early 20th century antiquity which was most likely a freestanding piece behind or underneath a shop counter initially. Featuring two large circular recesses these pieces make ideal decorative tidies for all manner of small easily mislaid – most notably keys but also jewellery! Also, very useful for coins (if still a part of your lifestyle?!). Most attractive brown oak, worn and well patinated surface derived from repeated contact with many hands and coins over probably 100 years or so! A really tactile, rustic piece!
